If you want to get involved in the Waterwatch, then you need to follow the manual. It will help you to measure your site in the right way and also assist you in using the right equipment. In this event, we will highlight the importance of a Waterwatch manual and all the information this manual has. It will help you to start thong appropriately.

Parameters to Check Water Quality

Do you know the parameters or different methods to test the water? Well, if you don’t, then this event for you. Our experts will explain how the temperature of the water, dissolved oxygen level, pH, electrical conductivity, etc., can make an impact on the plant species, water bugs and other species. The experts will show different methods, chemicals and tools to monitor water quality.

Waterwatch Safety Measures

If you are monitoring the condition of the water, you need to perform some tests and visit the on-site. Therefore, you need to follow some safety measure that can prevent any accidents or injuries. In this event, we will discuss the safety measure you need to take. From wearing proper clothes and footwear to handling chemicals for testing, you will get all information.

In our community, we also pay attention to the survey of the water bugs. They are small creatures that are visible with naked eyes. Their presence in abundance and extensive diversity is a sign that the waterway is healthy. That is why we also provide valuable information on this subject, so the volunteers can identify different types and their importance.

Environment Education

We will organise this event to educate the students of the school, colleges, other institutes and communities about the environment. It will help them to know about how to take care of nature, particularly the waterways. Providing valuable information at the root level will motivate more people to monitor water quality and overall waterway health.
